Rules Of Bingo

Among all the games that are played for real money, bingo is very simple and easy to understand. For this reason, people of different ages and backgrounds find this game appealing and entertaining. However, to benefit from this game, every player should have thorough knowledge about how the game is played and the rules and regulations involved in it.

To begin with, bingo is a chance game where players have to buy cards or tickets before the game begins. The cards can have 5 columns and 5 rows (in case of American 75-ball version) or they can have 3 rows and 9 columns (in case of UK or European bingo). A player can buy just one or several of these cards depending on his or her comfort level and experience in the game. Once the players have their cards, the moderator will call out numbers. These numbers are chosen at random from a bag full of bingo balls.

In case of online bingo, the numbers are called out by the RNG or the random number generator software. The player has to mark or strike off the number called out by the moderator, if it is present on a card. When it comes to online bingo, the electronic cards are automatically marked for players. This, however, does not mean you are automatically considered as the winner.

In both the internet bingo and the offline format, when a player gets the determined pattern, he or she has to make a claim before the next number is called out. The pattern can be simple lines, specific shapes or coverall, depending on the game variant you are playing. If you are playing at a hall or casino, you have to shout-out “bingo” so that the moderator hears you and halts the game. In the online format, the game page usually has a button called “claim”, which you should click on before the next number is called out.

Only once the claim is verified will the winner be paid the determined prize amount. In case of multiple winners, the prize pool is divided between them proportionately. But if the player or players miss the numbers called and fail to make a claim in time, they lose their opportunity. Any claims that are made after the next number is called out are usually considered invalid. If a player tampers with any aspect of the game or makes a false claim then no prizes are awarded. If a player is found cheating, the moderator can invalidate the card and remove him/her from the game.

To play no deposit bingo games at a traditional hall or at an online site, you need to be at least 18 years old. You should purchase the cards before the game starts, and cannot join it in between. Should there be any dispute about the winning pattern, the moderator or the caller usually has the final say. In case of land-based casinos and halls, players are required to maintain calm so that everybody in the room can hear the moderator clearly. However, if you are playing internet bingo then you will not have to worry about this.
